HOW DO YOU USE YOUR MOUTH

"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Tim. 4:12

Hey girlfriends. :)

I wanted to start with this very important aspect of purity.

We as women, can be so quick to speak. We like to talk about everything from our favorite colors, pets, and cute guys and lets not forget the hideous thing so and so was wearing...too.

Well. In this blog, I will share with you why I believe it is important to be careful with how you talk, what the Holy Bible has to say about it, and how you can use your mouth in a healthy way!

I have some wonderful friends. You see, being 26, several of my friends are now married ladies. Because they are married, they are living a very different lifestyle than I am, and have not always been careful about what they say. One night, a particularly great friend called me and was talking to me about marriage. She started sharing all kinds of things about the "hanky panky," by that I mean...sex... girls. Yeah. I had to ask her to please refrain from talking about such things with me, for although she was happily married, I was not, and I felt impure hearing about such things.

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:29,
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may BENEFIT those who LISTEN."

In other words, ladies, Paul is telling the church in Ephesus, Do not use "potty talk" as my mom says to her little daycare kids... Do not SLANDER others around you. If you want to live a pure life, Your tongue must be the first to watch, for you will find that this small part of the body... is the most difficult to control of all things. (James 1:26)

Ladies, you are often itching to share whats on your mind. You desire the close intimacy of your girlfriends. Be careful! How many times have you torn down another girl just to be placed higher in the eyes of the other girls in your youth group, class or other social gathering?
Speak truthfully to your neighbor(friend) Ephesians 4:25,
Refrain from SLANDER or COURSE JOKING Ephesians 5:3-4

The Word says that "Out of the overflow of the heart... the mouth speaks." Matthew 12:34

If you have any questions, please write me. I would like to talk with you!!!
